Owens-Illinois Post Prohibition Glass Decanter

$35.00
Product Details

This is a very pretty post prohibition era glass decanter. The bottle is marked with "FEDERAL LAW FORBIDS SALE OR REUSE OF THIS BOTTLE” and has the Owens-Illinois Glass Company marking.

We know this bottle is dated sometime between 1933 and 1966. National Prohibition ended in 1933, but some states maintained statewide temperance laws. Mississippi was the last dry state in the Union and ended prohibition in 1966.

With the stopper, this decanter measures approximately 4" at the widest point and 11.5" tall.

Please note, antique and vintage items are not perfectly new. They may have some wear and tear. We carefully curate items to ensure that any aging or imperfections add to the character instead of detracting from function or appearance, and do our best to represent the products as accurately as possible when we photograph them.
